Payroll Manager
The Role
You will be responsible for delivering a complete payroll service, ensuring all employees are paid accurately and on time while maintaining full compliance with UK payroll legislation.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll on a weekly and / or monthly basis using Sage Payroll or Similar
- Manage all payroll inputs including starters, leavers, pay changes, and amendments
- Calculate statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, and other deductions
- Submit RTI returns to HMRC and ensure compliance with current legislation
- Reconcile payroll and produce reports for finance
- Manage pension contributions and submissions
- Maintain accurate employee payroll records
- Handle payroll-related queries in a professional and timely manner
- Liaise with HR and finance teams to ensure smooth payroll processing
- Proven experience running end-to-end payroll
- Strong working knowledge of Sage Payroll or similar software
- Up-to-date understanding of UK payroll legislation
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Able to manage deadlines and work independently
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
