Financial Controller

The Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including:
  • Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
  • Full responsibility for the company P&L, Cashflow and Balance sheets reporting
  • Presenting to the senior management team
  • Cash flow forecasting
  • Budget setting and management
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls
  • VAT returns and statutory filings in line with deadlines
  • Credit control and debtor management
  • Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
  • Bank payments, payroll oversight
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Liaison with external auditors and third parties
 
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated finance professional who thrives in a broad, independent role:
  • Relevant finance qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
  • Strong commercial experience, ideally within an SME environment
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
