Financial Controller
The Role
As Financial Controller, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the company’s financial operations, including:
- Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts
- Full responsibility for the company P&L, Cashflow and Balance sheets reporting
- Presenting to the senior management team
- Cash flow forecasting
- Budget setting and management
- Ensuring compliance with financial controls
- VAT returns and statutory filings in line with deadlines
- Credit control and debtor management
- Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
- Bank payments, payroll oversight
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Liaison with external auditors and third parties
About You
We are looking for a self-motivated finance professional who thrives in a broad, independent role:
- Relevant finance qualifications (e.g. ACCA, CIMA, ACA or equivalent)
- Strong commercial experience, ideally within an SME environment
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail
- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Comfortable working autonomously and taking ownership
