⭐ Finance Analyst – Ideal for Early‑Career Accounting Professionals
What You’ll Do
- Support the preparation and analysis of standard costing, including reviewing cost movements and understanding key drivers
- Assist with pricing and quotation work, helping to calculate costs, margins, and commercial impacts
- Analyse the margin impact of changes in cost, price, or volume, providing clear insight to the wider finance team
- Work with operational and commercial teams to gather data needed for costing and pricing activities
- Prepare and maintain Excel‑based models using pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, IF statements, and other core functions
- Help produce regular financial reports and dashboards for senior stakeholders
- Contribute to continuous improvement of costing, pricing, and reporting processes
- Experience in an accounting‑related role (Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, AP/AR, Bookkeeping) or a degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field or studied towards your AAT.
- An understanding of financial statements and core accounting principles
- Confident Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, formulas)
- Ability to interpret numbers and communicate insights clearly and confidently
- Curiosity, problem‑solving ability, and a desire to grow into a more analytical finance role
