Working closely with the CEO, this role offers a varied and responsible position where you’ll take ownership of the day-to-day finance function while contributing to the wider business.

The Role
As Accountant, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the finance function, including:
- Preparing accurate monthly management accounts
- Managing P&L, cashflow and balance sheet reporting
- Supporting budget setting and monitoring performance
- Cashflow forecasting
- VAT returns and statutory compliance
- Credit control and debtor management
- Day-to-day accounting (sales ledger, purchase ledger, nominal ledger, journals and reconciliations)
- Bank payments and payroll oversight
- Maintaining the fixed asset register
- Liaising with external accountants and auditors
We’re looking for someone who enjoys a hands-on, all-round finance role within an SME environment:
- AAT qualified (or equivalent experience)
- Strong practical accounting experience
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
- Able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail
- Confident communicator with a collaborative approach
