Financial Controller required for successful & established SME
Full Time Permanent Position
£50,000 -£60,000 per annum

Warner Recruitment are delighted to be working on a retained assignment to recruit a Financial Controller for an expanding & profitable Northampton based leisure business.

The position of Financial Controller is very exciting for the owners as it is a newly created position. The successful person will work closely with the Directors and become an integral member of the Senior Management Team.

As part of the Management Team you will conduct a review of the financial processes, recommend and implement improvements and provide current commentary on the financial status of the company.

This important role will allow you to really contribute to the strategy of the business as it moves forward.

Key duties include:

1. Preparation and circulation of management accounts (Monthly, Quarterly) across all entities

a. Executive Summary Report
b. Profit & Loss
c. Cash flow statement
d. Balance sheet
e. Key KPI's

2. Support the annual budget & forecast processes
3. Statutory accounts management & preparation
4. Monthly reports to the Directors
5. Liaise with external auditor
6. Ensuring compliance with statutory law & financial regulations
7. Variance analysis of Costs v Budgets
8. Conduct supplier reviews
9. Review of financial processes & controls

The Person:

  • Fully qualified in ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Passionate about working closely with directors & owners

  • Able to create accounting processes and procedures from 'scratch'
