Assistant Accountant
Warner Recruitment are really excited to be working with a locally established and fast growing engineering company in Corby. The company have had a recent change in ownership and management, as a result they are now super driven and excited about growing the business and really need the support from a confident an ambitious AAT Qualified Accountant. The business experienced their best ever financial Turnover last year of £1.4 million and have aspirations to grow the business to £4million over the next 5 years.
The role will report directly to the Managing Director and Owner of the Business, with part time support from the current Bookkeeper who is due to retire in May 2022. You will also have support from the external Accountants and longer term they may seek support from an External Finance Director.
Bookkeeper/ Assistant Accountant/ Accounts Assistant - AAT Qualified
- Purchase ledger
- Sales ledger
- Bank reconciliations
- VAT returns
- Running BAC's payments
- Dealing with customer queries
- Credit Control
- Running the trial balance
- Liaising with the external accountants
- Interpreting the accounts to the Managing Director - who has no accounts training
- Accruals
- Prepayments
- Fixed asset register
- Journals
- Month end reporting
Person:
- AAT Qualified
- Study support for ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA will be available
- Able to work on your own incitive
- Happy to challenge and advise the Managing Director
- Can do attitude
- Good communication skills
Salary: £25,000 - £30,000
