Accounts Assistant - Permanent, Duston, Northampton

The company therefore offer stability to their staff, we are so lucky to be working with this business to recruit an Accounts Assistant into their accounts team of 3. The team are friendly and welcoming with a wealth of experience you will be able to draw from. The company are very happy to pay study support for AAT and are keen to receive applications from both studiers and non-studiers. This role will require the successful candidate to work from the office, ideally full time from day one.
Duties include
- Credit control
- Ensure that customer account balances are cleared prior to deliveries
- Sales ledger
- Ensure customer receipts are allocated as per remittances
- Setting up new supplier accounts and maintaining existing accounts
- Purchase ledger - Payment run
- Process customer receipts via Sage Pay
- Processing of supplier invoices
- Dealing with supplier queries
- Statement reconciliations
- Generate supplier payment runs weekly/ monthly
- Matching, batching, and coding of invoices
- Responsibility for the Petty Cash
- Allocating credit notes
- Reporting to the Finance Manager
- Month end processes
- Accurately maintaining Finance spreadsheets
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Accurate posting of daily bank transactions
- General office tasks

Salary £22,000- £26,000
